About Me:

I'm from Stoughton, MA, and I attend the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, majoring in Illustration with a minor in Graphic Design! On campus, I am a residential assistant working with a diverse group of residents. I’m also the Graphic Designer for the African Students Association and the incoming Social Media Chair for my NSBE Chapter. In these roles, I am deeply passionate about inspiring people with creativity, visual storytelling, and building strong relationships.

Fun Fact:

I grew up in Nigeria for 18 years, and I have dual citizenship!

In My Free Time:

I love to draw and play the piano during my free time. I also enjoy exploring different kinds of software that can help me improve my skills!

My Internship Experience:

I am working with Global Team Communications, and my task is to research best practices for employee engagement on the internal communication channels that they operate. As an illustrator, I provide recommendations for these vehicles in a more engaging and visually compelling way! Throughout the summer, I have been researching and exploring Generative AI for Image generation! I've also been reaching out to other Communication Leads and people in the BCE organization to develop creative strategies for employee engagement on these channels. I'm also participating in the Dell Grads Give Intern Giveback Day Virtual Art Workshop and in many events held by the Black Networking Alliance ERG.

Favorite Part of Interning at Dell:

I will say that my favorite part about interning for Dell has been the constant support I have received from my team and the amazing connections I am cultivating with other interns and team members in the company. I truly see the Dell culture code in the people I have met, and I would love to continue to be here!

In the Final Weeks of My Internship, I am Most Looking Forward To:

I can't wait to share my final presentation in Austin and see the interns in my marketing cohort again! I'm also looking forward to seeing my art project for the children at Hopefully Sow come to life!

Best Piece of Advice I Received During My Internship:

The best piece of advice that I received during my time here was to prepare to be uncomfortable in some situations sometimes and take it as a challenge. Without a challenge, you haven’t learned anything.

Why Dell?
I chose Dell because of the immense opportunities for growth in your career and professional development. I was also inspired by Dell’s passion for creating technology that not only improves the quality of life but also their commitment to doing it sustainably! I was also excited to join the Global Marketing Organization because I knew that this was where I could find the perfect crossover of creativity and curiosity to solve problems that affect the customer and the team member!

Advice For Future Dell Interns:

Be curious and always be willing to ask questions! Advocate for yourself and appreciate the connections that you make here. Don’t be hard on yourself, and please give yourself grace! Be yourself and view a challenge as an opportunity to think bigger and grow as a person!
