Adversity to Triumph: My Journey to Becoming a Tech Professional at Dell Technologies

Ray Litt is a Datacenter professional with expertise in servers and Cloud product offerings. In addition to his Dell Technologies career, Ray is passionate about volunteering with philanthropic organizations like Meals on Wheels or helping plan Tech diversity inclusion events such as Chris Oyeku’s Mixer Cloud.
Growing up on the poverty-stricken south side of Houston, society always had a way of imposing limitations on me. I will never forget the day when my seventh-grade teacher glanced at me and remarked,
"You'll probably end up flipping fries for a living."

Little did she know that my life was destined for something greater. Against all odds, I defied expectations, and today, I proudly hold a degree in Civil Engineering and have landed my dream job as a Technical Sales Representative at Dell.
Before embarking on my journey with Dell, I served as the Vice President of the American Association of Environmental Engineering Student Chapter. In this role, I gained valuable corporate experience in the oil and gas industry, where my responsibilities included troubleshooting and monitoring emission devices for fifty major companies, collectively generating over three hundred million in revenue.
Tracking and analyzing methane, ethane, and other volatile organic compounds was a challenging yet rewarding task that honed my skills and solidified my dedication to making a meaningful impact through technology; throughout my life, technology has captivated me with its power to transform and enhance lives.
My heart is full of gratitude as I reflect on the opportunities I've had, and I am eagerly looking forward to continuing my professional journey at Dell Technologies.

Today, my unwavering passion lies in providing innovative solutions to address complex technology needs for businesses of all sizes. More than anything else, my utmost priority lies in delivering an unparalleled customer experience, allowing them to leverage the full potential of innovative technological solutions.
When not immersed in the tech world, you will find me engaging in mixed martial arts or dedicating my time to volunteer work at local youth and non-profit organizations. In fact, I've also had the privilege of being a featured fitness coach on the popular TV show My 600-Lb. Life and working closely with at-risk children through sports outreach programs.
Connecting with people is my true calling, and technology empowers me to create meaningful change, one conversation at a time. I look forward to engaging in more influential discussions about Tech Sales, Business Solutions, and inspiration in the future.
