Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Role Overview

This role is an opportunity for a high energy, self-motivated, professional who has a passion for analytical insights to drive data driven decision-making within the organization.  This individual will oversee the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical processes for functional areas within the organization. This role partners with executive leadership and their teams to develop financial plans and strategies to drive business growth and profitability. The Director of FP&A provides leadership and guidance to financial analysts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis. Accountabilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop financial plans and strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objective, including annual budget/operating plan and monthly forecasts
  • Provide value added analyses and insights to business leaders, anticipating the business requirements to support the business objectives
  • Prepare and present financial reports, analysis and insights to broad range of stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting trends and variances
  • Develop and maintain financial modeling and scenario planning to support business initiatives, investment opportunities, and cost optimization strategies
  • Manage and mentor team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, economic factors, and external changes affecting the business' financial performance and outlook

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certifications are a plus
  • 8+ years in financial planning and analysis, with a track record of business partnership and strategic decision support
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience in a SaaS environment strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and financial reporting systems (e.g. planning, ERP, BI tools)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
